Discovering herbs as medicine
I would like to introduce myself, my name is Noel and I am a qualified Herbalist and Naturopath [DipCNM, mANP, mGNC], with diplomas from the College of Naturopathic Medicine (CNM) and governed by the ANP & GNC's 'Code of Ethics'.
After training with CNM, I began providing herbal treatments for family members who were having no luck with their prescription drugs given to them by their GP's. Some of these medications were actually making their conditions worse.
This quickly developed into an opportunity to offer herbal medicine as an option for anyone who was sick of being sick or just wanting to try a different route with their treatment, so I started Nature's Finest Herbal Remedies with this in mind.
Since the company's inception, I have been steadily building my apothecary and currently have nearly 200 different herbs that help support my patients on their road to recovery.
Why did I become an herbalist?
I was going through life with its various ups and downs, multiple unfulfilling jobs, whilst all the time knowing that there was surely more to life than this.
After discussions with a friend, I discovered that I knew little about my Jamaican heritage, other than the school taught version.
Following this epiphany, I began learning about black history which taught me about

Spirituality and... Most importantly for me,

Herbs & food and how they can both be used for healing all peoples.
It was at this point I began to think that maybe I can help my family using herbal medicine and once I understood that this approach was a better and safer option (fewer side effects and greater bio-availability), then wanting to help family members with ailments such as arthritis, depression and fatigue using herbal medicine became my passion and drive to go on to learn more.
Along came CNM, where I studied for 5 years in Birmingham, Bristol and Manchester, resulting in two diplomas to level VI, as both an herbalist (with merit) and a naturopath.
I currently practice in Moseley, Birmingham with my partner Jules, who is a registered nutritional therapist and osteopath and friend Kevin 'the chiropractor' Grant.
